1. BRRmingham Blast

Zip into Downtown Birmingham this Saturday for the BRRmingham Blast event, featuring free entertainment, food trucks, a zip line and activities for all ages! Thrill seekers of all ages are invited to ride the 300-foot-long zip line free of charge during the event. A delicious variety of food trucks will also be serving up savory favorites and warm sweets for purchase. For those who prefer to dine-in, explore a list of Downtown Birmingham restaurants. And warm up with family-friendly entertainment in the warming tent, with a magic show and story time courtesy of the Baldwin Public Library.

2. Michigan Birthday Winter Market

Got the winter blues? Cheer up and chill out at Canterbury Village's annual Michigan Birthday Winter Market – a celebration of our great state's 188th birthday! Browse the unique gifts, crafts, and artisan goods from the many small shops of the village, as well as special handmade vendors for the weekend. There will be sales and giveaways aplenty! If all that shopping makes you hungry, then stop by one of the village eateries for a delicious treat, such as smoked chicken chili or a warm spiced cider, and enjoy a Michigan winter day around one of the village's outdoor fire pits!

3. Fireside Fridays at Valade Park

Warm up for the weekend during Fireside Fridays at Valade Park! Each Friday through Feb 21 from 6 to 9 p.m., guests can enjoy family friendly fun featuring karaoke with Detroit’s own Karaoke Kingz, classic and new board games, and food and drink specials from Smokey G’s Smokehouse and the Valade Shed Bar. Come back weekly for unique karaoke themes! While karaoke and games will take place inside the heated building at Valade, be sure to explore the park for curling, sledding, and fire pits for roasting s'mores!

4. 48th Ann Arbor Folk Festival

The 48th Ann Arbor Folk Festival returns live to the stage this weekend! The festival is The Ark's largest annual fundraiser and delivers the full spectrum of “Ark music,” presenting a taste of what’s happening on the leading edge of acoustic music while delving into the very heart of folk and roots traditions. Friday night's lineup features Waxahatchee, Josh Ritter, Jobi Riccio, Adeem the Artist, Afro Dominicano, and MC Ketch Secor. And on Saturday, hear performances by Toad the Wet Sprocket, Bruce Cockburn, The Milk Carton Kids, Joy Clark, Willi Carlisle, and MC Ketch Secor.

5. Glow Skate at Riley Park Ice Rink

Get ready to glide and groove! Gear up and head out to Riley Park Ice Rink in the heart of Downtown Farmington this Saturday for an unforgettable night of disco fun at the annual Glow Skate event. Check out the glow-in-the-dark vibes and disco beats. Whether you're a skating pro or a total newbie, this is your chance to shine under the disco lights.
