1. Winter Blast Royal Oak

Winter Blast Royal Oak presented by Soaring Eagle Casino & Resort returns to Downtown Royal Oak this weekend! The beloved winter festival is a free admission community event that will take place in and around Centennial Commons and the Royal Oak City Center. The event will feature food trucks, live music, a zip line, ice skating, a medieval village, a ski and snowboard experience, spectacular ice sculptures, free family activities and more!

2. Plymouth Ice Festival

The 43rd annual Plymouth Ice Festival returns this weekend with winter fun for the whole family! Bundle up and stroll through beautiful Downtown Plymouth while exploring a wide selection of ice carvings. Enjoy photo opportunities around every corner, while also checking out all the fantastic shopping and dining the city has to offer. Back by popular demand is the 100 ft. tubing run, plus a petting farm, delicious food, nightly entertainment and more! The Plymouth Ice Festival is free to attend and fun for all ages.

3. Detroit RV & Camping Show

Want to kick your camping up a notch this year? Head to the Suburban Showplace Collection in Novi all weekend for the annual Detroit RV & Camping Show! Explore hundreds of RVs, folding campers, motorhomes, travel trailers and more! On-site dealer RV financing and RV rentals will also be available, as well as multiple booth exhibitors featuring parts, accessories and campground information make this the complete RV show experience.

Wednesday, Jan. 29 - Sunday, Feb. 2 at Suburban Collection Showplace in Novi

4. Mount Clemens Ice Carving Show

The 19th annual Mount Clemens Ice Carving Show returns with live ice carving demonstrations all weekend long starting at noon each day! There will be cornhole set up at the Cherry St. Mall, and many downtown businesses will be open for the show, offering a place to warm up and relax indoors. Maps of where each sculpture will be located will be available at the Fountain Stage and in all downtown businesses. It's a great wintertime event with fun for the whole family!

Saturday, Feb. 1 and Sunday, Feb. 2 in Downtown Mt. Clemens

5. Shiver on the River Eco Fair

Join the Dossin Great Lakes Museum and the Belle Isle Nature Center for the annual Shiver on the River Eco Fair on Saturday, Feb. 1. With activities from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Belle Isle, there will be free caricature drawings, a magic show, ice carvings, winter birding and more! This event is free and open to all ages. Concessions will be available for a cash fee. The typical daily fee to visit the Dossin Great Lakes Museum will be waived.

Saturday, Feb. 1 from 9 a.m. - 4 p.m. on Belle Isle in Detroit
