Summer is on the way, and that means it’s time for boaters to get ready at the 32nd annual Novi Boat Show! This year’s event will feature a wide selection of exhibitors showing new 2024 ski boats, fishing boats, pontoons, kayaks, inflatables and more. Don’t miss the boat on this one! The fun takes off Thursday, March 14 and runs through Sunday, March 17 at the Suburban Collection Showplace in Novi.

2. Royal Oak St. Patrick’s Day Parade
The Royal Oak St. Patrick’s Day Parade marches back into downtown Royal Oak after a three year hiatus! The parade is a family-friendly event, with a large community spirit and collaboration with Royal Oak’s many downtown businesses. This festive event that first made its debut in 1999 will feature festive parade floats, marching bands, community organizations and more than a few mischievous, pointy-eared creatures dancing through the city’s popular downtown area.

Step into a time warp of style and nostalgia this weekend at Totally Rad Vintage Fest at Huntington Place in Detroit! These totally radical vendors specialize in iconic clothing and accessories from the 80s, 90s, and Y2K eras, while also offering a diverse selection of records, toys, video games, home goods, and more to complete your ultimate nostalgic shopping experience! Plus, unleash your inner gamer at the Free-Play Vintage Arcade, and explore the Rad Rewind Museum with relics from the past.

The Brewsology Beer Fest is the boozy hybrid of your middle school museum field trip and a trip to your favorite brewery! Taking over the Michigan Science Center after hours, the adults-only event — appropriately scheduled for St. Patrick’s Day weekend — will feature dozens of craft breweries and cideries, and will give attendees access throughout the museum. Have some fun, learn some science, and of course, enjoy a few brews!

5. St. Patrick's Day Party at the Old Shillelagh
The Old Shillelagh will once again serve as host to Detroit's Biggest St. Patrick's Day party on Sunday, March 17! All three levels of the bar, including the heated rooftop deck, will be open starting at 7 a.m. with live music playing throughout the day, followed by Detroit's hottest DJs playing all night. Signature drinks, Michigan beers, and Shillelagh fun will be flowing all day. Wear your best green gear, and be ready to rise, shine, and Irish jig over bright and early!

The Wizard of Oz at the Boardwalk Theatre in St. Clair, Mich.

We're off to see the wizard with this beloved classic that has entertained audiences for generations! L. Frank Baum’s novel comes to life onstage at the Boardwalk Theatre in The Wizard of Oz featuring all the most beloved songs and moments from the 1939 classic film. Young Dorothy Gale is swept away by a tornado from her Kansas farm traveling over the rainbow to the magical land of Oz.
