1. Movement Electronic Music Festival
Each year on Memorial Day weekend, thousands of music lovers from across the globe gather in the birthplace of techno to celebrate the heritage of Detroit and its influence at Movement Detroit. This year, one of the longest-running dance music festivals in the world returns once again to showcase authentic techno music from a huge lineup of incredible artists that are sure to get you dancing, and it all goes down right along the Detroit Riverfront in Hart Plaza!

2. Greater Rochester Heritage Festival
Come out and enjoy a free, family-friendly fun time this Memorial Day weekend at the Greater Rochester Heritage Festival at Rochester Municipal Park! Shop handmade artwork made by Michigan artists, get your garden summer-ready at the Plant Sale, and check out the Heritage Rod & Custom Car Festival on Saturday, May 25 and the Festival of Cars show on Sunday, May 26. Plus, enjoy food from a variety of food trucks and listen to some great live music!

3. Novi BBQ Festival: Ribs & Whiskey
The Novi BBQ Festival: Ribs & Whiskey boasts a lineup of national pitmasters, showcasing their signature BBQ dishes, from succulent ribs to smoky brisket, and everything in between. More than 30 food vendors will be on-site, ensuring that there is something to satisfy every palate.This culinary extravaganza promises to be an unforgettable experience for all BBQ enthusiasts, music lovers, and families alike. Hosted at the Fountain Walk in Novi, this festival truly has something for everyone!

The Kensington Art Fair returns to Maple Beach this Memorial Day weekend! The Art Fair features artists from across the U.S. showcasing and selling their pieces. There will also be live art demonstrations, hands-on activities, a variety of food trucks and a selection of buskers performing live music. Admission is free, but a Metroparks vehicle pass is required. Enjoy a day surrounded by art and the great outdoors in Metro Detroit!
