1. Chevrolet Detroit Grand Prix 

The Chevrolet Detroit Grand Prix Presented by Lear will race back into action in Downtown Detroit this weekend! The event will include the Chevrolet INDYCAR Grand Prix featuring the cars of the NTT INDYCAR SERIES, the GTP and the GTD PRO classes of the IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship and the rising stars of racing competing in INDY NXT by Firestone. So on your mark…get set….go enjoy a full weekend of racing in Downtown Detroit!

2. Ferndale Pride

Returning this weekend is Ferndale Pride — the largest LGBTQAI festival in Oakland County! Ferndale Pride strives to recognize and promote pride for the gay, lesbian, bisexual, transgender, asexual, intersex and ally communities, working with residents, businesses, community groups, and all segments of the community to welcome and promote the celebration of diversity!

Saturday, June 1 from 12:30 p.m. - 10 p.m. in Downtown Ferndale

3. Bark on Biddle

Bark on Biddle is a three-day festival that provides hours of fun for families and their furry friends! Guests and their dogs can shop, drink and play in Downtown Wyandotte, all weekend long. The event will be held in the parking lot on the riverfront (just off Oak Street, east of Biddle Ave) and in a section of Bishop Park. There will be a variety of pet-related vendors, doggy fashions, homemade dog treats, unique dog toys and more!

4. 59th Birmingham Village Fair

5. SKALAR: Reflections on Light and Sound

Library Street Collective and Bedrock Detroit have collaborated with light artist Christopher Bauder and musician Kangding Ray, to bring SKALAR: Reflections on Light and Sound, a kinetic art installation, to Detroit. Located at 1001 Woodward Ave, SKALAR delves into the intricate interplay of light and sound on human perception. Through a captivating audio-visual narrative, viewers can explore a spectrum of emotions—from awe and exhilaration to introspection. SKALAR is free to attend, though attendees are encouraged to make reservations for a 30-minute slot in advance.

Now through July 28 at 1001 Woodward Ave in Downtown Detroit
