1. Royal Oak Market: Art Fair Edition

Royal Oak Market: Art Fair Edition returns this weekend to the Royal Oak Farmers Market. Now in its 9th year, this festive event is produced by The Guild of Artists and Artisans, and will feature 60 jury selected artists, live entertainment, food vendors, and several adult beverage offerings. With artwork of all types, the fair is a great place to find a handmade gift for everyone on your holiday shopping list, pick up a little something for yourself, or enjoy a fun evening out! Admission is free to the public.

Thursday, Nov. 21 and Friday, Nov. 22 at the Royal Oak Farmers Market in Downtown Royal Oak

2. Detroit Tree Lighting

Your holiday starts with the Detroit Tree Lighting on Friday, Nov. 22, at the award-winning Campus Martius Park produced by the Downtown Detroit Partnership and presented by DTE Energy Foundation. This free annual Detroit event to kick off the holiday season will feature stellar performances by national and local musical acts and figure skaters, holiday shopping, food trucks, unique lighting attractions across Downtown Detroit and more!

Friday, Nov. 22 from 4 p.m. - 9 p.m. at Campus Martius Park in Downtown Detroit

3. Whiskey in the Winter

Whiskey in the Winter is back at the Detroit Shipping Company! The 5th Annual whiskey event at the area's greatest and most unique food hall, the Detroit Shipping Company. Toast with your favorite drink in their one-of-a-kind facility, featuring the Motor City’s only food hall made out of refurbished shipping containers. Guests will have private access to a curated vendor marketplace and live music. And don't worry about the weather, you’ll still be cozy with heated tents and, of course, whiskey!

4. Blake’s Holiday Extravaganza

Kick off the holiday magic with a day of shopping, festive cheer, and twinkling lights at Blake’s Holiday Extravaganza! Explore unique finds from local artisans, pick out the perfect Christmas tree, and don’t forget to take home fresh evergreen wreaths, porch pots, and delightful decor for your home. Visit the original farmhouse for a photo with Santa or head to Orchard Square for cozy igloo dining, and steaming hot beverages. The excitement peaks with Blake’s annual tree lighting in Orchard Square on November 23 at 6 p.m., accompanied by carolers and live music.

5. The Rink at Royal Oak

The Rink at Royal Oak is coming back for its 3rd season! At the Grand Opening, you can enjoy ice-skating at The Rink, shopping at the Holiday Huts featuring gifts and goodies from downtown Royal Oak businesses, Visits with Santa, carnival rides, food trucks, live music and more, culminating with the lighting of Centennial Commons, including the Giant Oak Tree! Skate Fee is $10 and Skate Rentals are $5. If you have your own skates, feel free to bring them!
