1. Our War Too: Women in Service

Daily, now through Sep. 7, 2025

The Henry Ford in Dearborn

Making its Midwest traveling debut, Our War Too: Women in Service is a groundbreaking special exhibit honoring the nearly 350,000 American women who answered the call to serve their country during World War II. Made up of unique and colorful artifacts from The National WWII Museum's collection, the exhibit explores the efforts, struggles and accomplishments of these servicewomen, the impacts of which extend into the present day.

2. Motor City Irish Fest

Friday, June 6- Sunday, June 8

Greenmead Historical Park in Livonia

It's celebration of Irish culture this weekend at Greenmead Historical Park — with music, dancing, artisans and food vendors, whiskey tasting, and a children's area — featuring crafts, storytelling and more!

3. Art on the Grand

Saturday-Sunday, June 7-8
10 AM - 7 PM Saturday & Sunday, 11 AM - 5 PM
Historic downtown Farmington

Several blocks of Grand River Ave. will be closed for this juried fine arts and crafts show, now in its 16th year. With fun art demos, workshops, live music, and more. The fair features free admission and an array of high-quality art in a variety of price ranges and disciplines including ceramics, jewelry, painting, photography, wood, wearable art, glass, leather and sculpture.

4. Chandler Park Sounds of Summer

Saturday, June 7
2 PM - 6 PM
Chandler Park in Detroit

This FREE, family-friendly performance will feature performances by musicians of the Detroit Symphony Orchestra, Larry Lee and the Back in the Day Band, the Jauron Perry Quintet, and Testimony Sings. Join us for great music, fun activities, and free food. The concert will be located at the old tennis courts near the Northwest corner of Frankfort Street and Gray Street.

5. Melvindale Days Festival

Thursday-Sunday, June 5-8
Thursday: 5 PM- 9 PM, Friday: 5 PM - 10 PM
Saturday: 1 PM - 10 PM, Sunday 1 PM - 11 PM
Melvindale Ice Arena

The annual Melvindale Days celebration returns with a packed schedule of entertainment through the weekend, including a carnival with rides, food and games, live music and a car show It all wraps up Sunday with a fireworks grand finale.
