1. Thunder Over Michigan

Friday: Gates open at 2 pm. and close at 8 pm (Drive up tailgate only)
Saturday/Sunday: Gates open at 10:30 am and close at 5 pm
Willow Run Airport in Ypsilanti

The U.S. Navy Blue Angels are coming to Thunder Over Michigan! This year's airshow features a world-class lineup of thrilling aeronautic performers and displays. Something special: Detroit Red Wing and Farmington Hills native Alex DeBrinecat will take flight aboard a Blue Angels F/A-18 Super Hornet as part of the Team’s “Key Influencer” (KI) program, honoring local leaders who positively impact their communities and inspire, mentor, and shape the character of young people.

Enjoy multiple stages of entertainment with live music and wrestling, lawn games, margaritas and cervezas — and endless amounts of delicious food and fun!

The Fisher Theatre in Detroit

The Wiz returns to the Fisher Theater in an all-new Broadway tour for the first one in 40 years! The story is a twist on The Wizard of Oz, packed with soul, gospel, rock, and 70s funk. (WWJ's Pat Vitale just saw it and says it was a spectacular show!)

4. Strawberry Shortcake Day

Farmington Farmers Market

Summer has officially arrived with the return of Strawberry Shortcake Day at the Farmington Farmers Market! This is as farm-to-table as you can get for a desert -- fresh, strawberries straight from Michigan farms. Kapnick's farm provides the biscuits, topped with a big scoop of Calder Dairy vanilla ice cream. If you've never been to the market, this is the perfect time to check it out.

5. Summer Solstice Celebration!

Cranbrook Institute of Science & Cranbrook Art Museum
