1. Woodward Dream Cruise

Auto enthusiasts are coming in from all around the U.S., and even the world, this weekend for a big celebration of classic cars and community fun spanning several miles of Woodward Ave., from Pontiac to Ferndale. Celebrating 30 years this time around, the cruise officially starts at 9 a.m. on Saturday. We'll have live coverage of "the world's largest car cruise" on WWJ Newsradio 950.

2. The Armada Fair

Through Sunday, Aug. 17

They call it "summer’s biggest celebration." Enjoy carnival rides, animal exhibits, kid’s games, and mouthwatering fair food. Cheer on the tractor pulls, go wild for monster trucks, and sing along with Uncle Kracker live on stage! Don’t forget the refreshment tent, bands, and daily contests. 3. Bee Fest

Saturday, Aug. 16, 11AM-4PM
Belle Isle, Detroit

The Belle Isle Nature Center will be buzzing this Saturday for Bee Fest — a special day recognizing the importance of these pollinators in our ecosystem. There will be fun and educational activities like beeswax candle making and honey tasting. Find out what all the buzz is about!

4. Detroit Poké Fest

Saturday, Aug. 16-Sunday, Aug. 17, 10AM-6PM
Westin Southfield-Detroit

Pokémon comes to life at this epic family event packed with games, meet and greets, cosplay, vendors, food trucks, and more. Whether you’re a seasoned Pokémon Master or just starting your journey, there’ll be something for everyone. The kids will be pumped for appearances by Pikachu, Eevee, Psyduck and Gengar on both days.

5. Brownstown Summer Festival

Friday-Sunday, August 15-17
Brownstown Recreation Campus

Bring the family down to Brownstown this weekend for community spirit and fun-filled festivities. There will be a vendors market and kids zone, live music, a beer tent, fireworks, and more!
