CLINTON TWP. (WWJ) -- An investigation is underway after a body was found in a Macomb County over the weekend.
Clinton Township police say they were called at around 5:30 p.m. Sunday to 15 Mile Rd., between Garfield and Utica roads, on reports of a person spotted lying on the side of the road. This is an a wooded area, where a drainage line runs.
The man, later identified as a 72-year-old Clinton Township man, was unresponsive. He was taken to a local hospital where he was pronounced dead.
His name was not released.
It's unclear at this time how the man died. No other information has been shared by police, but the Clinton Township PD said Monday that its Criminal Investigations Unit is on the case.
