DETROIT (WWJ) - Police are concerned for the well-being of a missing Detroit woman after family members say she lives with cognitive disfunction.

Detroit police say Oletha Sanders, 74, went missing Friday morning around 8 a.m. after she was last seen in the 19100 block of Helen.


She has not been seen or heard from since.

Sanders' daughter told police that Sanders has Dementia, a syndrome that affects cognitive functioning, such as thinking, remembering, and reason.

Sanders is described as a Black female standing 5' 4" tall and weighing 120 lbs. She has dark brown hair and brown eyes.

The 74-year-old was last seen wearing dark clothing.

Anyone with any information about Sanders has been asked to call Detroit's 11th Precinct at (313) 596-1101 or 911.
