MADISON HEIGHTS (WWJ) -- Police are investigating a deadly crash involving an SUV and a motorcycle on Tuesday in Madison Heights.
At around 2 p.m. on April 29, Madison Heights police responded to the intersection of John R Rd. and Ajax on a call about an injury accident.
An 82-year-old motorcyclist was taken from the scene to a local hospital where he was pronoucned dead.
Police said an investigation found that a 79-year-old woman was driving an SUV, turning left from southbound John R into a private driveway.
That's when the she hit man, identified as from Algonac, who was driving a motorcycle northbound.
Police said the SUV driver is cooperating with the investigation and alcohol does not appear to be a factor.
