(WWJ) A 4-year-old Wisconsin boy abducted nearly three months ago is back safe with this mother -- after he was found in Northern Michigan.
At around 11 p.m. Monday, troopers from the Michigan State Police Cadillac Post were dispatched to an address on Pearl Street in the Village of Kingsley, south of Traverse City, on a tip about a missing child from Wisconsin.
Troopers spoke with the caller who reported he had seen a missing child on Facebook and was certain that the boy, Azariah Petrick, was staying with his father in a motorhome on the property.
Inside the RV police found the missing boy -- along with his noncustodial father, 30-year-old Mark Anthony Petrick -- who'd allegedly abducted him.
The man was immediately detained, State Police said, and the child confirmed that he was in fact the missing little boy.
Police said the father was uncooperative and gave a false name.
The child was returned to his mom in Pleasant Prairie, Wisconsin.
Troopers were assisted by deputies from the Grand Traverse County Sheriff's Office.
