Holiday travel can seem like a bad dream. But air travel around the 4th of July was a nightmare

(WWJ) – Estimates say about 50 million Americans traveled over the 4th of July holiday weekend, with about 10 million of them booking flights as travel volumes reached near-record levels and returned to pre-pandemic norms.

But flying isn’t at all like it used to be, and little of that has to do with safety – thanks in large part to the pandemic.

From high gas prices to troubles with airlines, WWJ’s Zach Clark take a look at what is causing all these travel headaches in a new episode of the Daily J podcast.
