LIBERTY TWP. (WWJ) -- One person was killed when the SUV he was driving overturned in Jackson County's Liberty Township Wednesday evening.

According to Michigan State Police, troopers with the Jackson Post responded at around 6:30 p.m. on Feb. 13 to a call about a single-vehicle crash on Hague Ave. near Crouch Rd.

MSP said a preliminary investigation found that a 30-year-old man driving an SUV lost control, and the vehicle rolled over.

The driver, identified as an Onondaga resident, was pronounced dead on the scene. He was the only person in the vehicle.

On Thursday, MSP said the investigation was still ongoing and no further information will be released at this time.

MSP troopers were assisted at the scene by the Liberty Township Fire Department and JCA.
