
ALLEN PARK (WWJ) -- An Allen Park man has been is behind bars, faces charges for the alleged premeditated murder of his grandmother.
According to the Wayne County Prosecutor's Office, 84-year-old Patricia Anderson died the evening of April 16 after being stabbed multiple times by her grandson, 31-year-old Ian Sharpe, at a home in 10000 block of Allen Pointe Drive in Allen Park.
Her body was found in a field in Detroit on April 19.
Sharpe is charged with First Degree Murder, as well as Tampering with Evidence and Removing a Dead Body Without Permission.
He was arraigned Monday morning in 24th District Court and was remanded into custody in the Wayne County Jail without bond.
“Another domestic violence homicide. The victim was 84 years old and allegedly killed by her adult grandson. The benevolence of Ms. Anderson was rewarded with her violent death," said Prosecutor Kym Worthy, in a statement. "Please beware of the signs of potential domestic violence. The signs may not always show themselves but knowing what they are can be beneficial to us all."
Sharpe's next court date is a Probable Cause Conference scheduled for April 28.
Michigan Department of Corrections Records show Sharpe has a felony record, with previous convictions for weapons and arson charges in Wayne County.
