(WWJ) -- Unbothered by blood? The American Red Cross wants you!
The non-profit is hiring phlebotomists for a mobile team that helps operate blood drives in southeastern Michigan.
New hires will receive paid training and a starting pay of $14.71 an hour, with benefits, stipends and shift/weekend differentials.
“As a phlebotomist, you can help save lives every day and be a part of the important mission of the Red Cross,” said Jacqueline Tullio, regional donor services executive. “Phlebotomists are critical to our mission of supplying 40% of the nation’s blood and can gain valuable career experience within the nation’s top humanitarian organization.”
Last year in Michigan, the Red Cross team hosted more than 7,000 blood drives, resulting in more than 235,000 blood and platelet donations.
