A sad story from Farmington Hills where a rare white albino doe was hit by a vehicle and killed Tuesday.
The deer was hit near 12 Mile and Halsted roads, according to a statement from the city of Farmington Hills. "This unique deer became a memorable presence in the community and drew significant public interest," the statement said.
City officials are reminding drivers to remain alert on local roads as we move into a season of increased animal activity. Deer and other wildlife are most active during dawn and dusk.
