CLINTON TOWNSHIP (WWJ) -- Another collectable's shop falls victim to thieves hunting for high-value Pokemon cards.

GreenLight Cards & Collectibles in Clinton Township posted to Facebook -- letting hobbyists know they were robbed Tuesday morning. The shop is back open but reports say $5,000 worth of cards were stolen by one person.

Earlier break-ins at other stores prompted Greenlight to add enhanced security measures, including moving valuable items to secure locations after hours and installing a new alarm system with motion detectors. The owners believe the alarm startled the thief during Tuesday's burglary. That caused them to just grab any of the items they could before bolting out of the store.

Clinton Township police were on the scene within minutes and are actively looking for the suspect. Thieves tend to sell stolen cards through local shops or online marketplaces.

Weeks ago, First Edition Finds in Sterling Heights was robbed. Over $50,000 worth of cards was stolen from them.
