EASTPOINTE (WWJ) -- An argument over a woman resulted in a shooting at a Macomb County bar early Sunday morning.
Inside Ray's Boom Boom Room in Eastpointe, located on Gratiot near Toepfer, police said there was some pushing and shoving before someone pulled out a gun and started shooting.
Eastpointe Public Safety Director George Rouhib told the Macomb Daily that police were dispatched to the bar around midnight or 1 a.m. on a report of a double shooting.
Rouhib said there was an argument over a woman and one of the patrons pushed another and that's when an unidentified man pulled out a gun and shot two people.
One victim was struck in the groin area, while the second was hit in the buttocks, police said. They were transported to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries, reported the Macomb Daily.
In the meantime, people inside of the bar became unruly, so Eastpointe officers called in police from Roseville and St. Clair Shores to assist with crowd control.
Additional enforcement from neighboring departments had to be called in to assist with crowd control as the incident caused an uproar, officials said.
No arrests were reported and the suspect is at large.
