An arsonist, who poured gasoline on the carpet at Huntington Place and lit it on fire, is wanted by Detroit Police and Fire.
The suspect was spotted on security video on the first floor of Huntington Place last Tuesday, April 28. Just before 9 a.m., the man removes water bottles filled with gasoline from a bag and poured it on the carpet. The suspect is seen lighting the fire as he walks to the exit before leaving, according to Detroit police.
Huntington Place security put out the fire and there was minimal damage, according to the Detroit Fire Department.
The suspect is wearing all black, with a black backpack with several white logos on it, and a grey mask on his face.
The Detroit Police and Fire departments say a reward will be offered if information leads to an arrest.
