Macomb County authorities seek tips in business break-in, stolen guitar [VIDEO]

(WWJ) The Macomb County Sheriff's Office is asking the public for help in solving two crimes involving thefts from local businesses.

In the first case, officials day a guitar was stolen from a business in Mount Clemens.

In a surveilence video clip released by the sheriff's office on Tuesday, a single suspects in a dark coat and knit hat can be seen walking into the business through the front door, which was apparently left unlocked. He wanders around a bit before picking up the guitar, in its case, case and walking out with it.

Further details, including the date of the incident and the exact location, were not provided.

Anyone who can identify the man in the video (above) is asked to call Det. Pascaretti at 586-783-8118.

Meanwhile, in a separate case, the sheriff's office is investigating a breaking and entering on Monday at business on 26 Mile Rd in Lenox Township.

Surveillance footage shows two white males dressed in all black cause damage and enter the business before investigators say multiple items were stolen.

The pair was traveling in the small dark colored Volkswagen sedan that may have the driver side headlight burned out.

The sheriff's office notes that all people seen in these videos are presumed innocent until proven guilty in court. Sheriff's officials also say they reserve the right to withhold certain information if its release is not in the community’s best interest, or if they feel it will compromise an investigation.
