(WWJ) The babies in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit at Beaumont Health System are scaring up some Halloween spirit.
Beaumont NICU nurse, Kristen Holton, wanted to make the day special for the little ones. So, she took to the Nextdoor app and asked for costume donations for the babies.
Costumes, she got. More than 50!
"It was so inspiring to see people donate all the costumes for the babies. This has been such a difficult year with the pandemic and it's wonderful to see an overwhelming outpouring of support like this from our community," Holton said.
She has worked as a NICU nurse for six years.
The costumes were cleaned and individually packaged. Parents had the opportunity to choose their child's costume.
Others donated decorations and candy for the families.
