FARMINGTON HILLS (WWJ) A barricaded gunman was arrested after firing multiple shots inside his Farmington Hills home and an hours-long standoff, the sheriff said.
The Oakland County Sheriff’s Office (OCSO) said they were on the scene of a barricaded situation in a subdivision just southeast of the 14 Mile and Middlebelt intersection as of Saturday, November 30th around 8:15 p.m.; according to a social media statement. They encouraged the public to avoid the area.
An OSCO SWAT team and Farmington Hills Police also responded.
About two hours later, OSCO posted an update that deputies had “breached the door” and taken the suspect into custody.
The standoff stemmed from a domestic dispute between the suspect and his wife. He allegedly fired a number of shots at the ceiling and at her, FOX 2 reported.
No one was hurt.
No further details were released.
