ARMADA (WWJ) - It's not the exactly the burst of flavor you'd expect after a "bad" batch of Armada Cannabis Company's Cannabis Apple Cider left out a key ingredient.

An ingredient, the Michigan's Cannabis Regulatory Agency said, that helps keep the cans from rupturing.

The CRA said there is a voluntarily recalling on the limited number of marijuana-infused beverages that were sold between Oct. 11 and Nov. 1 of this year and have an expiration date of Jan. 2, 2024.

"A single batch of Armada Cannabis Co. Cannabis Apple Cider (20mg) is being recalled because the products were not compliantly produced and there have been reports of cans swelling and bursting," the CRA said. "This is attributable to the lack of a necessary ingredient to ensure shelf stability."

The beverages were sold at multiple dispensaries around the Michigan, including Green Buddha in Ferndale and A New Standard in Hazel Park along with Herbology Cannabis Co., House of Dank, JARS Cannabis and Nuggets in Detroit.

The CRA recommended consumers who bought the affected beverages refrain from returning them to the marijuana sales location and instead dispose of them in an outdoor receptacle.

Any consumers who have experienced adverse reactions after ingesting these products should report their symptoms and product use to their healthcare providers, the agency added.

Consumers were also urged to report any adverse reactions to the beverages to the CRA via by completing an "Adverse Reaction Form" and submitting it according to the instructions included or by phone at 517-284-8599.

"A licensee that becomes aware of any adverse reactions to a marijuana product shall notify the CRA and enter the information into METRC within one business day," the CRA said.
