REFORD CHARTER TWP (WWJ) - A major Redford Charter Township road has reopened roughly three hours after police closed it in both directions due to a serious crash possibly involving a pedestrian.
Redford Township Police said they closed Beech Daly at Student Street to all traffic as they investigated a crash that occurred early Wednesday (Jan, 10) morning.
A witness driving in the area told WWJ that police were at the scene around 6-6:30 a.m. where he saw one wrecked vehicle with a dented hood and a smashed-in windshield.

While the details surrounding the crash haven't been released by police, the witness said he saw shoes in the road with debris.
The witness also mentioned there was a bus near the crash site.
An investigation into the incident remains ongoing. WWJ's Charlie Langton is headed to the scene to learn more.
