WESTLAND (WWJ) -- Michigan State Police are showing off drugs, cash and a gun seized during a bust this week in Westland.

MSP said, some time ago, Metro Narcotics Enforcement Team (MNET) detectives began an investigation into a drug trafficker and convicted felon.

On May 7, MNET executed a search warrant at the suspect’s Westland home.

In total, MSP said detectives seized 128 grams of fentanyl, over an ounce of crystal meth, 481 suboxone strips, and one firearm.

Investigators also seized over $10,000 in cash and assets with intent to forfeit, police said.

The suspect was arrested and jailed pending prosecutor review. His name will be withheld until he's arraigned on the charges.

MNET was assisted by the Metro South Post, Canton Police Department, and Downriver SWAT.

MSP said this operation was supported by a Edward Byrne Memorial Justice Assistance Grant (JAG) awarded by the U.S. Department of Justice (DOJ) and administered by the MSP.
