(WWJ) – Just how much of an early riser are you? If you woke up early enough Tuesday morning, you caught a show in the sky over Michigan – a total lunar eclipse.
Hours before Michiganders hit the polls on Election Day, many woke up to see the last total lunar eclipse we’ll see on this side of the Earth until 2025. The planet moved directly between the sun and moon, slowly engulfing the moon in its shadow making it go from a “bright, white, silvery color to a very reddish color.”
On a new Daily J podcast, WWJ’s Zach Clark sets his alarm for 3 a.m. to check out the eclipse, and along the way, gets a lesson on what makes it so special.
