
WATERFORD TOWNSHIP (WWJ) A boy was taken into custody in connection to a drive-by shooting in Waterford Township.
Waterford Township Police said they received a 911 call on Thursday (5/30) around 10:30 p.m. of a drive-by shooting on Lochaven Road between Cooley Lake and Elizabeth Lake roads. Officers arrived to find several bullet holes in the house.
No one inside the house had been struck or injured, police said.
Officers and detectives worked throughout the night to locate the suspect vehicle, recover a handgun and spent shell casings. They took a “juvenile male” into custody, according to police.
“This was not a random act,” police said in a statement.
The exact age of the suspect and motive for the shooting has not been released.
