CADILLAC (WWJ) -- A Northern Michigan man is jailed on multiple charges after an incident that began with a call about domestic violence at a Cadillac-area home.
Michigan State Police troopers responded at around 10:10 p.m. Wednesday to a residence on 13th Street in Selma Township, which is west of Cadillac.
Members of the household told police that 37-year-old Jack Alan Duncan Jr. had showed up that night "highly intoxicated," and got mad when he wasn't allowed to be with a woman at the home.
It's alleged, police said, that Duncan assaulted two people in the home, and that he'd assaulted another woman earlier in the evening.
Troopers saw Duncan walking out the back door when they arrived and he was taken into custody.
The victims were treated by Cherry Grove EMS at the scene, and one was taken to Cadillac Hospital for further evaluation.
MSP said Duncan was uncooperative and became combative while troopers were interviewing him in the patrol car. It's alleged he began kicking the side window of the car, and then the side mirror, breaking the glass.
He was taken to the Wexford County Jail, where he also assaulted a corrections officer, police said,
Duncan was arraigned in the 84th District Court in Wexford County on two counts of Assault and Battery, one count of Domestic Violence, one count of Malicious Destruction of Police Property, of one count Resisting and Obstructing Police, and Habitual Offender Fourth Notice.
Cond was set at $50,000 cash/surety and Duncan's next court appearance was scheduled for March 26.
