CANTON (WWJ) - Drivers in Canton may need to find an alternate route while police investigate a death.
The Canton Police Department said they were called to the area of 39700 Koppernick Road shortly before 1 a.m. on Monday and began investigating a death.
Police have the area blocked off. Drivers are encouraged to avoid the area.
“Be advised that Koppernick Rd will be closed from Holly Dr east to the Township border for several hours due to an ongoing police investigation,” the Canton Police said in a Facebook post. “Please avoid the area and seek alternate routes.”
Police said they are not releasing more information at this time.
