DETROIT (WWJ) – The search continues for a pair of suspects accused of carjacking a woman at a Detroit gas station back in January.

Detroit police officials say a cash reward of $500 is now up for grabs as they continue to investigate a carjacking on Jan. 25.

The incident happened at a gas station in the 11500 block of Hamilton Avenue – near M-10 and Chicago Avenue, in the heart of the city.

Officials say the suspects, one of which was armed with a gun, approached a woman as she was exiting the gas station. The suspect waved a gun and pointed it at the victim while demanding the keys to her 2014 Chevy Equinox, officials said back in January.

The man kept his gun on the victim's back as he got into the driver's seat and the second suspect got in on the passenger's side.

Nearly three months later, Detroit police are still searching for the suspects.

Officials are asking anyone who has information on the carjacking to submit anonymous tips on the Detroit TV Rewards website.

If a tip moves the case forward, authorities say tipsters will receive a cash payout. Tipsters need to include case #: 2201250325 on their submission.

The two suspects are described as male. One is thought to be in his 30's and has a medium build -- he was wearing all black clothing with a black ski mask.
The second suspect was estimated to be in his 20s with a slender build. He was also wearing all black and a black ski mask.
