CHESTERFIELD (WWJ) Chesterfield Police are searching for a woman who was sideswiped by a car on 26 Mile Road in Macomb County.
Police said a driver reported he had struck a woman, who was walking in the road, with his passenger side mirror on Friday (8/16) just before 4 a.m. It happened near Country Line Road, where the posted speed limit is 55 miles per hour.
The driver told police he had stopped to check on the woman, but he could not find her.
Officers also searched the area for her to no avail. The driver described the woman as “white, heavyset with dark hair and wearing a white T-shirt.”
