CLINTON TWP. (WWJ) -- A Clinton Township woman accused of fleeing police in a stolen U-Haul has been arraigned on criminal charges.
According to the Macomb County Sheriff's Office, Clinton Township Police officers tried to pull over Jennifer Roe on Thursday while she was driving a U-Haul truck that was reported stolen the previous day.
When she didn't stop, a pursuit began.
The chase was called off in Mount Clemens -- where Macomb County deputies used stop sticks — but the driver continued west on Hall Road with a flat tire, driving on the rim, officials said.
Officials said then driver ran a red light at the intersection of Hall and Garfield Rd., crashing into another vehicle.
The U-Haul rolled over, and Roe was taken into custody.
Roe, 47, appeared in 41B District Court on Monday on felony charges of third degree fleeing and receiving and concealing stolen property, as well as a misdemeanor charge of reckless driving.
As of Tuesday, she remained held in the Macomb County Jail on a $100,000 bond.
The MCSO said the investigation is ongoing.
