OXFORD TWP (WWJ) A construction worker fell into a trench in Northern Oakland County.
Police said he fell in on the morning of Tuesday, June 30, while a backhoe was digging a trench in a rural area on Barber Road, four to five miles northeast of downtown Oxford.
The trench measured 5’ wide, 10’ deep, according to authorities.
First responders successfully pulled him out of the trench and transported him to the hospital with a police escort. His condition has not been released.
WWJ’s Tim Pamplin reports authorities called in a Medevac helicopter at one point during the rescue efforts.
Oxford Police and Fire are still on scene as the investigation continues.
