BIRMINGHAM (WWJ) -- Crews will be repairing a water main break in Birmingham Thursday that will close part of Southfield Road and may disrupt water service to nearby residents.
The City of Birmingham sent out an email to residents saying northbound Southfield will be closed from Southlawn to 14 Mile Road while crews work.

Southbound Southfield will be closed in the area between Worthington and Southfield.
City officials said water service "may be impacted in the area" and crews will let residents know before shutting off water.
It's unclear how many homes may be affected and how long the repairs will last. City officials did not specify what time on Thursday the work will start.
