DETROIT (WWJ) -- Detroit Police say a rollover crash and deadly shooting on the city's west side on Monday may be connected.

Police said a 911 call came in at around 10:30 a.m. about a shooting inside a home near 7 Mile Rd. and Greenfield, and when officers arrived they found a man in his 20s who'd been shot.

The victim was pronounced dead at the scene.

At about the same time as the shooting, a crash happened about a block away. Police took a person of interest into custody and are working to determine whether that person is connected to the shooting.

Authorities said the shooting was not random and appeared to have been targeted. However, police have not released any details about a suspected motive.

No names or further have been released as the investigation continues.

Anyone with information is asked to call the Detroit Police Department at 313-596-1200.
