DETROIT (WWJ) – A Dearborn business owner who has paid more than $10,000 in fines for illegal dumping has been caught and arrested for several more incidents.
Mahmoud Saad, owner of a tree trimming and landscaping business in Dearborn, is likely looking at another large fine after Detroit police caught him for several illegal dumping incidents on the city’s west side.

Saad was captured on video back on Feb. 19 dumping tree and landscaping debris in the area of Linday and Santa Maria.
Thanks to the video evidence, authorities were able to identify Saad and several vehicles he used to dump debris.
Saad is accused of bringing debris from the suburbs and dumping it in Detroit at least eight times.
Prior to Saad’s arrest on Friday, Detroit police said he had already paid about $14,000 in fines for other dumping incidents.
In a separate dumping investigation, Detroit police have busted a tire repair shop on Grand River Avenue for dumping tires illegally near the 3800 block of Northwestern Highway.
The owner of the business was issued tickets and ordered to close for seven days with the opportunity to correct the violations. Authorities say the business removed blight and was able to remain open.
