(WWJ) A Dearborn man wanted for kidnapping his daughter in a custody dispute has been arrested by authorities in Pennsylvania.
Millcreek Township police said Wednesday afternoon that Jafar Almaarej's daughter is safe and she'll be reunited with her mother very soon.
The situation started over the weekend when Almaarej went to Pennsylvania to visit his ex-wife and seven year old daughter. On Sunday, Almaarej took his daughter, despite a no contact order from a judge. An arrest warrant related to the kidnapping was issued and Almaarej was arrested Wednesday.
Police didn't say where he was found, but had said earlier in the week they had reason to believe Almaarej was back in Dearborn.
Police worked with departments in Michigan as well as the U.S. Marshals service to find him.
