Dearborn PD investigating 'suspicious violent encounter' after driver of Ford F-150 caught brandishing gun at Chrysler minivan on camera
DEARBORN (WWJ) - An alarming encounter captured on camera is at the center of a police investigation in Dearborn after a driver got out of a truck and pointed a gun at a mini van while allegedly demanding their keys.
The Dearborn Police Department said they have identified all those involved in the incident and there is no threat to the public, but they're still working on piecing together what led to the "suspicious violent encounter" near the intersection of Culver and Glover Street at around 2:10 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 20.
The department said in a social media update that the incident was caught on a local security camera and showed the driver of a black Ford F-150 block off a red Chrysler Town & Country minivan before getting out of their vehicle brandishing a handgun.

The minivan driver appeared to back away as the Ford driver came up to their window.
"The driver of the F-150 gave repeated orders for the driver of the mini-van to shut off the vehicle ignition and exit the vehicle," police stated. "The driver of the Town & Country remained in the vehicle, immediately driving eastbound on Glover with the F-150 following."
Police said they haven't determined the encounter to be a road rage incident as they continue to gather details on the case.
Dearborn Police Chief Issa Shahin expressed shock over the incident and said officers were working quickly to identify those involved.
While those drivers were tracked down on Wednesday, there's been no word on any arrests. The department continues to investigate the case with additional details expected to be released when they become available.
