Detroit bank robbery suspect on the run after telling workers he had a bomb

DETROIT (WWJ) – Detroit police are asking for help tracking down a man who they say robbed a bank last month.

The robbery happened in the area of Telegraph and 7 Mile Road on the city’s northwest side.

The suspect walked in the Fifth Third Bank on Friday, July 29 and told tellers he had a bomb and demanded money.

It was not clear how much money the suspect got away with.

Authorities did not provide a description of the suspect, but have released surveillance video showing him at the teller’s window.
