
DETROIT (WWJ) -- A Detroit bus driver is in serious condition after he was stabbed by a passenger on Wednesday.
Authorities said an altercation occurred between the two when the Detroit Department of Transportation driver told the rider to get off the bus -- then he was stabbed.

The incident happened just before 8 a.m. near Grand River Avenue and McNichols Road on the city's west side, according to Detroit police.
Police said the suspected stabber is in custody.
No other injuries have been reported.
