
DETROIT (WWJ) — It's been a busy morning for the Detroit Fire Department, as crews are battling multiple fires in different parts of the city.
On the city's east side, a fire broke out at a vacant home near Helen Street, near Charlevoix and East Grand Boulevard. That house was completely destroyed.
The fire spread to a neighboring home, which sustained minor damage. Fire officials say everyone inside the second home was able to get out safely.
Meanwhile, crews were also called to a house fire on the city's west side, where a blaze broke out at a home on Santa Rosa, near Livernois and Elmhurst.
Crews have the fire under control and no injuries have been reported at this time.
Crews are still working to determine when and how these fire started.
Later in the morning, all of the fires were reported to be under control.
