(DETROIT) -- Detroit police are searching for a suspect following a carjacking and kidnapping on the city’s west side.
According to authorities, on Thursday evening a male suspect met up with the victim at their home for a date.
Once at the home, the suspect pointed a handgun at the victim and stole his vehicle with him inside.
The victim was then driven to the area of East 7 Mile and Hayes roads, where the suspect ordered him out of the car.
Afterwards, he immediately walked to a Green Light location and contacted the police.
The stolen vehicle is described as a black 2019 Chevy Traverse with the MI plate DYT-883, and damage on the passenger-side.
