
ALLEN PARK (WWJ) -- Michigan State Police say a man was killed and a woman was injured in a rollover crash along I-94 in Allen Park.
Police said the crash happened along westbound I-94 at Pelham, at around 11:25 a.m. Wednesday, leading to an hour-long closure of the westbound lanes.
MSP said the 37-year-old Detroit man who was driving the car was pronounced dead at the scene. His name was not released.
A 37-year-old woman who was his passenger was taken to the hospital for treatment of serious injuries.
At last check, she was listed in stable condition.
Police said this was a single-vehicle crash, and no one in any other cars was hurt.
It's unclear what led to the crash, as an investigation by the MSP Second District Traffic Crash Reconstruction Team is ongoing.
Westbound I-94 was closed for several hours at the Southfield Freeway (M-39), but reopened to traffic just before 4 p.m. Wednesday.
