DETROIT (WWJ) A Detroit mom has vanished just two days after giving birth to her baby boy, and her family is yearning to have her home for Mother's Day.

Police say Danielle Johnson, 28, was last seen Friday, March 5, in the area of Chene and Prince Hall. Her family said she dropped her two-day-old son off at a relative's house, left and never came back.

This is the first time she has gone missing, according to her family. She has also not been active on her social media accounts or had any "physical contact" with any of her loved ones, which is not typical behavior for her; police said.

She is described as 5'3" and 115 lbs., with brown eyes and shoulder length black hair, although she frequently wears a wig. She goes by the nickname "Mook," and is known to spend a lot of time in the area of 12th and Euclid on the west side.

She has several star tattoos on her left hand, neck, and shoulders. "Janis" is tattooed on her left shoulder, "1992" on her left bicep and "Michael" tattooed on one forearm and "Jared" on the other.

If you have seen Danielle Johnson or know where she is, please call Detroit Police Department's Ninth Precinct Detective Unit at (313) 596-5940 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-Speak Up.
