DEARBORN (WWJ) -- A murder suspect fleeing from police caused a Metro Detroit high school to lock down Wednesday morning.

Fox 2 Detroit reported that Fordson High School in Dearborn was placed on a brief lockdown around 9 a.m. following a police chase.

A homicide suspect was fleeing from Dearborn and Detroit police when it parked in the school's parking lot, then took off on foot.

Dearborn officers pursued the suspect east towards Schaefer Road and were able to make an arrest without incident.

Officials said there aren't suspected threats to the school related to this incident.

The suspect is expected to be arraigned and charged by the Detroit Police Department.
