DETROIT (WWJ) -- Detroit police say four people are in custody and likely facing murder charges in the shooting death of a Wayne County Corrections officer last month.
Two of the suspects were arrested Thursday after a police chase and crash that ended near 14 Mile and Schoenherr roads in Sterling Heights.

"We are highly confident we have the perpetrators responsible in the death of Wayne County Corrections Officer Devaney Jones in custody,” DPD Commander Michael McGinnis said on Friday during a press conference.
Police and prosecutors say that one of the suspects is also wanted in Texas for murder.
Devante Jones, 23, was off-duty when he was shot and killed early on September 20 as he was dropping off a friend in the area of East Forest and the Chrysler Service Drive.
A motive for the killing remains unknown, and authorities have not said if Jones’s job as a corrections officer played a part in his murder.
The WCSO and Detroit Police Department are continuing to investigate.
