DETROIT (WWJ) – The search for a suspect who allegedly shot a man on Detroit's northeast side last weekend has ended with him in handcuffs.

Kenneth Sadler, 59, was arrested on Wednesday, Detroit police announced on Twitter.

Sadler is accused of shooting a 30-year-old man around 4:15 p.m. Sunday in the area of Minnesota Avenue and Lumpkin Street, near Dequindre and Nevada.

He allegedly fled the scene on foot and Detroit police had been asking the public for tips in tracking him down.

Police say the victim survived the shooting, but authorities have not updated his condition.

Authorities have not said what led to the shooting, or what charges he may be facing.
