Detroit police looking for driver who killed 58-year-old woman in hit-and-run

DETROIT (WWJ) -- A 58-year-old woman was killed in a hit-and-run Wednesday night while crossing the street on Detroit's northwest side.

Investigators said surveillance video from a nearby gas station shows a silver SUV exit the parking lot into the street and slow down before proceeding to hit the woman.

The car drove off and that's when another vehicle runs over the victim.

The incident occurred at Woodbine Street and 7 Mile Road.

The woman was taken to the hospital and that's where she was pronounced dead.

Detroit police are using the surveillance video to help them track down the driver.
